What it weighs
- Completion rate, because finishing beats starting
- Velocity, so a title climbing quickly outranks a title sitting still
- Recency, with a decay that keeps last season off the front page
What it ignores
Raw view counts, which reward whatever was promoted hardest, and ratings, which are too easily moved by too few people.
