EP.12 · The Lakeside Promise

About this drama

Dr. Eleanor Vance, a 32-year-old widowed parent, arrives at a remote lakeside clinic, hoping to rebuild her life and career anonymously. Her quiet fresh start is immediately disrupted by Leo Maxwell, the clinic's exhausted but fiercely dedicated community organizer, whose unwavering commitment to the town's well-being clashes with Eleanor's guarded demeanor. Their professional friction ignites a deeper personal conflict when an unexpected custody hearing for Eleanor's child threatens to expose her carefully hidden past. As the two navigate the complexities of their shared workplace and the emotional weight of the impending legal battle, they uncover an old promise made years ago, connecting them in a way neither anticipated. This revelation forces them to confront their own vulnerabilities and decide if they can trust each other enough to forge a new beginning amidst the tranquil, yet demanding, lakeside community.
