EP.17 · Clearwater Promise

About this drama

Dr. Evelyn Reed, a widowed parent, arrives at a remote lakeside clinic, seeking a fresh start and a quiet life for herself and her young daughter. She hopes to disappear into the rhythm of treating patients from the area's isolated towns, leaving her painful past behind. However, her carefully constructed anonymity is shattered when a looming custody hearing for her daughter brings an old, complicated promise back to the forefront. She finds herself clashing with Liam Vance, a dedicated and tirelessly optimistic community organizer, whose efforts to improve local healthcare constantly intersect with Evelyn's professional and personal life. As Evelyn navigates the legal battle, her guarded facade begins to crack under Liam's unwavering support and the unexpected warmth of the community. The series explores themes of found family, second chances, and the courage it takes to heal, culminating in an earned romantic payoff as Evelyn learns to trust and love again.
